Nikon F2 Black Paint Photomic 35mm SLR Film Camera Body + 50mm F1.4 Lens
Up for sale is my Nikon F2 Black Paint Photomic (I think) along with the 50mm F1.4 lens - hood and camera case and strap included. I think I've lost the lens cap I'll double check and if I can find it, I'll include it. Original Nikon F2 case will be included. This Nikon F2 camera is in especially nice cosmetic condition, better than most F2's I've seen, with all but the smallest of flaws. The paint is very clean, and internally, also very clean and probably not used very much in its lifetime.
My plan was to upgrade the finder to an eye level one, but I just never got around to it and my professional workflow is taking up too much time to shoot film, so up for sale it goes. I really can't vouch for any operations, as I haven't actually shot this camera -- it's been a storage piece. However, I can confirm that the shutter does fire at all speeds and they seem / sound correct to my ear. The viewfinder and/or focusing screen is rather clean, but does contain some dust particles. The meter, while working, is sporadic and jumpy and will likely need a service.
The curtains as per the pics, are in good condition. The light seals seem good camera, but I haven't actually shot this camera, so I cannot confirm their condition. Shutter fires on all speeds without issue. The film advance works smoothy. The lens is in used, but nice condition it appear clear, although I haven't done a critical flashlight test I do not see any fungus, scratches, etc - maybe some dust particles The lens focuses smoothly, although there it's a tad dry in spots.
The aperture opens / closes properly. The camera case is in pretty good overall shape, but the former user but a piece of black tape over the Nikon logo. I think that covers all the in's & outs concerning operation.
If you want a beautiful Nikon F-2 camera, in nice pre-owned condition, then you'll be a happy camper. The meter, while functioning, reads sporadically and is jumpy. I would imagine it's not working properly. The strap is a bit'stiff.
