Canon L3 35mm film camera (black) & 50mm f1.8 lens (black) repaint by Shueido

I imported the camera a few months ago from Shueido Cameras, a world renowned camera restorer. The L3 is a rangefinder camera to compete with their Nikon and Leica competition. I mainly shoot with a Leica M camera and this camera compares favourably in different ways.

Most notably, the rangefinder is a different concept of selection and magnification. Without going into too much detail, these Canon models are better for critical focusing than a Leica M. He camera has been completely overhauled and brought back to perfect working status. The advance lever, film loading, dials, rangefinder and viewfinder, all excellent. The rangefinder patch, whilst will never be Leica quality (from brand new I mean), is in great shape and easy to use.

Cosmetically, and as with the paired lens, it has been painted a gorgeous matt black. The quality in the white and red text and details is exceptionally done.

It doesn't get better than this and is truly a stealth machine! Is in perfect condition also. All functions lovely to use. The aperture and focus barrel nice and smooth, and absolutely spotless glass, no age related problems here. Again, painted to a high standard to match the body.
